Table linens are something that can add a lot of color and character to your event. Most people don’t anticipate the large expense of renting large amounts of table linens though, so here are a few ways to make the most of your linen choices if you’re on a budget.
Polyester linens: Use a polyester linen for the table, but spice it up with a textured cotton napkin. A large textured cotton table cloth can cost over $100, but textured napkins are usually only a few dollars apiece.
Use multiple colors: Using multiple complimentary colors is an excellent way to bring a pop of color without raising extra costs. If your event’s colors are purple and gray, use a purple polyester linen and a gray sash for the high-boy tables, and a gray polyester linen for the cabaret tables.
Food station linens: Don’t splurge on food station linens. Use a classic smooth black linen for both food and bar tables because these areas usually encounter more spills and stains than others. A textured cloth made with expensive fabric will just get dirty and have to be discarded.
Splurge on raffle, cake or head tables: Investing in expensive fabrics with lots of texture at the raffle, cake or head tables guarantees that they will stand out the most.
