It was designed to replicate a Spanish palace courtyard with its crystal chandeliers, mosaic tiles, garishly painted plaster, terra-cotta ceiling and beautiful arches. The shiny bent wood floor was created for dancing and rests on a cushion of cork, felt and springs. It appears to be a palace of illusions, where artificial stars twinkle overhead and projectors beam clouds scudding across the domed roof some 60 feet above the dance floor. Even the “wooden” beams located throughout the venue are make-believe (simulated from concrete).

Housed in the former Spiegel Catalog warehouse, Sculpture Garden Gallery defines raw urban elegance with a decor that emphasizes reconstruction and refurbished elements and finishes. The architectural elements from this historic 1911 building include timber construction, exposed brick and generous ceiling heights. The elements within the interior that give the space life, vary from reclaimed wood and steel to ever-changing art installations created from materials as basic as book pages.

The Bridgeport Art Center “Skyline Loft” defines raw urban elegance. Located in the historic 1911 building, it is the most unique space in Chicago. Its architectural elements include timber construction, exposed brick, soaring ceilings and an unparalleled view of the Chicago skyline.

Located along Broadway and Thorndale Avenues in the Edgewater community, Broadway Armory Park is the Chicago Park District’s largest indoor recreational facility. Officially purchased in 1998 after being no longer needed by the National Guard for military purposes, the massive, 87-year-old park facility today houses five gymnasia and 13 rooms. Broadway Armory’s open space makes it ideal for Chicago Park District special sporting events such as citywide 3 on 3 soccer and volleyball. Outside organizations and families use the park regularly for their own permitted events and parties.

A gift to the city from socialite Kate Buckingham, this is one of the largest fountains in the world. From April 1st to November 1st the fountain is transformed at night into a spectacular lighting spectacle, complete with music- truly a luxury of the lakeside.

The gardens are gorgeous, and the view of Lake Michigan and the Field Museum of Natural History to the south is spectacular. On the north end, two forty-foot tall granite columns flank a large open metal pavilion. Flowers spill out of pedestals that line the garden.

Chicago Cultural Center G.A.R Rotunda stands for Grand Army of the Republic. This venue is perfect for weddings, corporate events, galas, fundraisers, meetings and conferences. Detailed architecture includes two glass domed ceilings and lavish halls. It is located on the second floor of the Chicago Cultural Center. 

Preston Bradley Hall holds the largest Tiffany stained-glass dome. The venue also includes marble mosaics and elegant lighting fixtures. Preston Bradley Hall is located on the third floor of the Chicago Cultural Center.

When first built the Yates Museum was the library’s main reading room. The gallery is located on the fourth floor of the Chicago Cultural Center. This venue’s interior surfaces were created by the Tiffany glass and Decorating Company, with Renaissance ornamentation..

This landmark theatre is located in the Loop area of Chicago. The Chicago Theatre was built in French Baroque style, and its exterior features a miniature replica of Paris’ Arc de Triomphe. The grand lobby is also modeled after the Royal Chapel at Versailles. The Chicago Theatre is seven stories high and has 3,600 seats in its auditorium. The theatre also has a downstairs theatre which holds 250 people.

City Hall’s 10,000-square-foot event space has a separate grand entrance on Kinzie Street. The column-free hall, with its soaring 40-foot-high ceilings, 37-foot stone bar and industrial-elegant architectural detailing, is a striking venue for large-scale events, meetings and receptions. A fully equipped bridal suite and green room on the second floor overlooks the space.

Chicago’s Civic Opera House is one of the city’s historic landmarks and is a hybrid of Art Nouveau and Art Deco. The theater seats 3,563, holding the largest stage in downtown Chicago.

The park area contains two natural looking waterfalls, stonework ledges and abundant native plant life. The architecture of the park refectory is Spanish-influenced, with arched entryways.

The ballroom features a vaulted ceiling with vintage light features, a hardwood floor and a performance stage. Arched French doors line the ballroom and overlook our north lawn and Heritage Garden. Hilton | Asmus Contemporary specializes in contemporary paintings, works on paper, textiles, sculpture and photography featuring Chicago-based artists, as well as internationally known artists from Asia, Europe and the Mediterranean Region.  Located in the River North Art District in Chicago, the gallery is at the corner of Wells and Superior.

Humboldt Park boasts a lagoon, “prairie river,” rose garden, perennial garden, waterfalls, and monuments. The historic Field House contains many event spaces with terrazzo flooring and grand intricately designed plaster ceilings. A guest favorite is cocktails on the veranda overlooking the lagoon. Just across the street from the Field House sitting on another stretch of the lagoon is the majestic open-air Boat House with its prairie-style lanterns and semicircular arches. 

Created Ida Noyes Hall was dedicated in June 1916 by La Verne Noyes in memory of his late wife Ida Noyes, for her lifetime of community work in women’s education and the arts. As a complement to the Reynolds Club and Hutchison Commons, Ida Noyes Hall served as a women’s clubhouse and social center.

The IDEA Studio, located in the award-winning, Gensler-designed IIDA Headquarters, is a premier event and corporate meeting space located in the heart of downtown Chicago. The Lincoln Park Commission constructed the Lincoln Park Conservatory in phases between 1890 and 1895, replacing a small greenhouse that dated from the 1870s.

The Lytle House is a unique space in the heart of Edgewater. It has 2800 square feet of intimate indoor and outdoor space. Chicago Union Station was designed according to the Beaux Arts style.
