Tis’ the season for cozying up by the fireplace and celebrating winter weddings! As far as we’re concerned, winter is one of the most beautiful and magical times of year. Not only is it a time of gathering with close friends and family during the holidays, but it is also the perfect time to come together to celebrate a wedding. With fewer weddings taking place during the winter, why not make yours stand out?

Paramount Events would love to help you create a fabulous winter wedding. We’ve included 5 tips below sure to get your wheels turning, but stay tuned – later this week will round out the list of our 10 favorite trends perfect for this time of year.

1). It’s all about the lighting

Nothing makes a winter wedding sparkle like twinkling light backdrops. These are beautiful behind the couple at the ceremony or the sweetheart table. These memorable photos will truly take your breath away. (Photo by JPP Studios)

 2.) Cake Toppers

We also know that having your dream cake is essential. This is why we’d like want to introduce you to custom-made cake toppers. These handmade cake toppers from the “BetterOffWed” etsy shop are an elegant departure from the figurines that typically grace the top of wedding cakes. Click here to check them out!

3.) Get Cozy

Take advantage of the cold weather and cozy up next to your significant other. Sounds romantic, right? For those couples having an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hours, these baskets of blankets are a huge hit. They also make a fantastic photo opp!

 4.) Soup’s On!

Warm your guests’ stomachs with this fantastic twist on a first course. It is hearty enough for winter appetites without filling guests up so much that they can’t hit the dance floor later. French Onion is a classic favorite or this Sweet Pea Soup is always a hit.

5.) Meatballs – a comfort food full of flavor

How can you quickly (and inexpensively!) satisfy hungry guests? A meatball bar is a fun and unique trend that is big this winter season. It can be created in both a casual, comforting manner or an upscale style that will wow your guests.

We would be happy to assist you in creating any of these fabulous dishes for your dream wedding! Stay warm and also stay tuned for more winter wedding tips later this week!
