At Paramount Events, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do! From weddings and corporate galas to multi-day conferences and everything in between, we proudly prioritize sourcing local ingredients, seasonal menu planning, and reducing food waste. These practices not only benefit the planet but also support local farmers, ensuring the food we serve at your events is fresh and delicious! 

 

How We Include Sustainability in Our Every Day Practices:

Supporting Local Farmers & Protecting the Planet

At Paramount Events, we prioritize locally sourced ingredients from across the Midwest—meaning they come from farms within 250 miles rather than being imported from long distances. This reduces transportation emissions and supports sustainable farming. Through partnerships with Green City Market and other vendor partners, we bring the freshest seasonal produce to your table while strengthening our local economy.

Planning & Creating Thoughtful Menus

We are committed to reducing food waste through mindful menu planning. By considering dietary restrictions, guest count, and event type, we minimize over-purchasing and spoilage, ensuring we utilize every ingredient fully.

Getting Creative & Useful with Leftovers

Through our sustainability partnerships, we work with COPIA to donate surplus food to local communities in need, ensuring that quality meals don’t go to waste. Additionally, we partner with WasteNot Compost to compost all organic waste, diverting it from landfills and contributing to a healthier environment.

 

We also take a mindful approach to menu planning, carefully considering guest counts to create the right amount of food and minimize excess. If there are leftovers, they are donated, while any remaining ingredients are either composted or repurposed into stocks, sauces, and other dishes—ensuring only a limited amount goes to waste.
