My name is Anna and I am an intern this summer at Paramount Events! As I’ve been learning the ropes, I tagged along on a Drop Off Catering delivery to get a taste of the most popular divisions of our business. Here’s what I learned.
From the time a drop off catering order is placed to the time it is delivered, a client can be sure that thought and care will be put in to meet their individual needs. One of the most important components of a successful drop off is the seamless delivery and setup. I met a team full of seasoned veterans who know the ins and outs of loading docks, service elevators, and hectic Chicago traffic – all so clients will have nothing to worry about!

I followed Betty, a member of the Paramount team since November 2016, on a two-component lunch drop off at a large office space. We first started by putting together all of the needed paper products, utensils, and beverages from the fully stocked Paramount warehouse and loaded them into the vehicle. Right before the scheduled leave time, we headed to the kitchen to grab all of the fresh components that had been prepared just minutes before. We then began the drive to the destination.
En route to the office, Betty described what sets Paramount apart from other Chicagoland catering companies. “The people are the best part of Paramount. Everyone is positive and the job is fun. We all take the time to get to know each other and we genuinely care about what we do.” Betty also emphasized preparing for the unexpected and working hard to make sure that every element of the job is done well.
When we arrive at our destination, we head to our scheduled location to begin setting up. We first set up our variety of box lunches, which contain several combinations sure to please the entire office. We then set up beverages, a colorful assortment of wraps, a fresh field salad, and our classic housemade potato chips. We move quickly and quietly, making sure that everything looks perfect. When the job is done, we head back to Paramount- ready and excited for the next order!
