Now that you find yourself with a ring on your finger it’s time to find that perfect place you’ll say “I DO”, “I WILL” and “YES- I’ll have another glass of champagne” at. To help you get started we’ve compiled 5 Tips for Finding the Perfect Venue:
Budget Talk
Have the important talk about what each contributing financial member is comfortable spending. Your venue & catering is a large % of your budget, so having at least an idea from the beginning will help.
Details, Details, Details!
When looking into a potential wedding venue include as many details as you can (thinking about having your ceremony onsite, sold on doing a band) include everything!
What can you do for us?
When touring the space ask what additional items your venue can help with. Such as vendor recommendations, catering, rentals, etc. This helps streamline the amount of work you must do in the end.
Don’t Overdo It
Schedule 2-3 venue tours per day (if you are a weekend wedding warrior) anything more and you’ll risk over scheduling and probably forget which venues had what great feature. And don’t forget rule #455—lunch breaks are a must!
Narrow Down Your Top 2
Once you have completed all your venue tours, narrow it down to your top 2 and do a quick pro/con list. But ultimately ask yourself in the space if you can picture celebrating you big day there.
